The Pakistani government has created several initiatives to promote "private investment and foster public-private partnerships" in an effort to reform Pakistan's school system. Such initiatives include:
government income tax exemption for faculty members
exemption of custom duties on the import of education equipment and material
electricity and gas for schools will be charged domestic tariffs
rural land required for schools to be provided free of charge
concessional financing for rural schools will be made available
the allowance of private companies to utilize public facilities to hold classes
encouraging NGO's to take over and manage public schools
