The Edgewood School District, located in San Antonio, provides a privately-funded voucher program for low-income students. After nearly 2,000 vouchers (school year 2001-02) the largest being $4,700, the program is set to expire in 2008 due to the ending of the program donors' 10-year funding commitment.
